My artistic practice exists like a chimera, a hybrid creature, and a thing that is hoped for but is illusory or impossible to achieve. I use photography, writing and moving image as a means to create elliptical associative narratives. The lack that exists within these histories is the generative point of my work as a place to fill in.In recent photographic and video work, a sense of emotional and geographical movement is conveyed through modes of documentation, appropriation and collage. The camera and mirror act as tools of recognition and distance.
